NCEP and NBICC are proud to be the home to a few new pieces of technology that will better assess and treat our persons served and maximize their outcomes! With the addition of this technology, we continue to maintain our commitment to the implementation of high quality, evidence-based practice techniques for all of our persons served.
Forbrain - Speech Therapy Tool
Forbrain is a pioneering brain training device that helps people of all ages and abilities improve their speech, attention, and memory. Thanks to years of auditory stimulation research, our patented technology enhances the natural process of the auditory feedback loop. Simply put, this is how speech is continuously modified based on what you hear.
Forbrain modulates the voice to make it sound clearer and stimulates the brain, thus retraining your abilities. Using the device is easy and intuitive: our persons served will simply wear the headphones, switch them on, and speak for a few minutes every day to boost their brains activity. These individuals will soon grow your abilities in communication, concentration, and learning.

Neurocatch: Cognitive Evaluation Platform
This technology utilizes auditory evoked potentials to help evaluate the quality and efficiency of one's processing. Persons served will hear tones of various qualities and paired words and through this, the machine will measure how quickly and how strongly the brain reacts. This technology allows our clinicals to measure subtle cognitive changes over time and will also help our clinical team measure treatment efficacy. With Neurocatch, our team will be able to monitor and objectively measure attention, cognitive processing, processing speed, and higher-level cognitive processes.

BrainScope:
The only FDA cleared non-invasive medical device that objectively assesses persons served with head injuries for acute brain bleeds and concussions at the point of care. BrainScope also provides an objective assessment of brain function impairment, including concussion, with the Brain Function Index (BFI) algorithm. The BFI includes only EEG features, especially those that measure changes in “connectivity” between brain regions, reflecting the physiological changes seen in concussion.
Brainscope also includes a customizable battery of five cognitive performance tests, which are performed by the person served on the handheld device. These tests measure several cognitive functions including visuomotor reaction time, simple motor speed, working memory, and response control.
